Description
Located on
Sicily’s
northern
coast,
opposite the
Aeolian
islands is
Parco
Augusto
which is
spread over
35,000 sq
metres.
Back in
ancient
times, the
place
hosting the
current spa
in the
village of
Castroreale
(today’s
Terme
Vigliatore)
was used by
the Romans
as their
main source
to
regenerate
mind and
body – the
spa.
The Roman
Villa
(1st-2nd
century
A.D.) a few
yards far
from Parco
Augusto
still bears
witness to
it.
In 1643 King
Philip the
Third of
Spain gave
the thermal
baths to the
town of
Castroreale
one of which
can be still
seen in
Parco
Augusto.
Still today,
the whole
Parco
Augusto area
core
activities
are
represented
by its spa
combined
with the
services
necessary to
meet our
customers’
modern
needs. Parco
Augusto has
been
enriched
with three
hotels
(5-star
deluxe,
4-star and
3-star
hotels), an
outdoor
swimming
pool, a
thermal
rehabilitation
centre, a
conference
centre as
well as
three
restaurants.
